If ever there were a story of redemption and grinding it out to get through a tough project, this is it for us. What was already a super complex design, logistics and and execution challenge from the onset, became even more so last September when Hurricane Helene decided to pay us a visit. The project was in a critical stage and 70 mph winds and rain caused catastrophic damages to the existing first and second levels of the home we were building a third story vertical addition on to. It suddenly turned in to a complete water remediation and restoration project on top of the original scope to build the new addition. From a design perspective, this one would be at the far end of the complexity with head-scratching difficulty that required close collaboration and coordination between our design team and field team. The completion of this project added over 1,800 SF of luxury space to a 3rd story suite with 2 eagle’s nest towers overlooking Lake Norman. The outright grit and commitment by our team and partners to overcome the challenges is a good representation of who we are and what we are about. It would have been easy to tnrow in the towel, but that’s an option for us. Here’s to the completion of a monster and to the celebration of success in delivering an amazing product to our client in the end!
